This year marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. In Pike County, we join the rest of the nation in celebrating with several local activities.
We are thankful for the support of the Alabama USA Semiquincentennial Commission, which awarded an Alabama 250 grant to help fund activities across Pike County.
The Brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.along with We The People Pike County are proud to host our 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration. Saturday June 20, 2026 at Murphree Park, bringing the community together for a day of culture, unity, entertainment, education, and family fun. This annual event celebrates freedom, African American heritage, and the continued importance of service and community empowerment. Join us as we honor the past, celebrate the present, and inspire the future.
